Russ Garufi, a residential builder with ten thousand houses behind him, set up charter-boat jigs behind a chicken coop outside Ocean City in 1999, stretched them to 58 feet, and put a lean-to over the top when the weather turned. The boat sold within a week of being offered and Titan Custom Yachts followed in 2001. From the second hull the boats have been drawn with Darron Roop; all are cold-molded, and the yard skips the number thirteen.
