The first Winter, begun in 2003 in a pole barn at Apex Nurseries while Tim Winter finished his engineering degree at NC State. Started for Will Copeland, sold half-built to Earl Wells of Clinton, who christened her Galot for the Big Rock. Three layers of Okoume over a CNC-cut jig, launched at Jarrett Bay.

    Construction began in 2003 in a pole barn at Apex Nurseries, Apex, North Carolina, for Will Copeland, with help from Billy Baum of Manteo. Cold-molded, three layers of Okoume over a CNC-cut jig. Sold to Earl Wells of Clinton midway through the build, finished as Galot and launched at Jarrett Bay to fish the Big Rock. The yard writes the first name as Galot 3; InTheBite writes Galot.
