Hull 18 was originally built as a Morehead City Charter boat and was named Calcutta . The boat was designed by Glen Haught, but both Jarrett Bay founding owners Randy Ramsey & Jim Luxton played a key role in her design. It was the first large cold-molded boat Jarrett Bay built. Calcutta soon changed hands to become Reel Quick III and received numerous upgrades to transform her from day charter boat to accommodating long trips. The boat was based in Islamorada, Florida and run by the legendary Capt. Allen Starr. The boat fished extensively in the Keys and throughout the Caribbean, and even released a grander. The next ownership group included Jarrett Bay naming Hull 18 in honor of Hull 1 Sensation , fishing destinations along the East Coast, Mexico & the Caribbean.
