Jim Weaver, hooked by the White Marlin Open in the 1980s and unable to afford a custom boat, cleared a shed behind his house in Deale in 1998 and built a 58-foot cold-molded convertible, Dream Weaver, which sold to a passerby in Palm Beach. The yard on Rockhold Creek dates itself from 1999. Donald Blount has drawn the hulls from the second boat onward, and the boats run from 23 to 97 feet, all cold-molded over wooden frames in okoume, epoxy and Kevlar.
