Taylor Made

Taylor Harrison learned the trade in Point Harbor with Bobby Sullivan and under other Outer Banks builders before opening his own shop, Taylor Made Boats. Marlin reviewed his 54-foot flybridge convertible Aut-Top-Sea in 2001, four boats after he opened. Harrison died of cancer in 2003; John Bayliss and Mike Merritt started a scholarship fund for his two children, and the Carolina Boat Builders tournament is fished in his memory.
