A Wanchese charter captain who began building with Paul Spencer, then went on his own with a 65-footer, TFB, around 2000. Howell calls it a boutique yard that builds a few boats at a time; his 32nd, a 61-footer, was coming out of the shed in March 2020. The HINs carry the MIC UCL, registered to Carolina Yacht Enterprises and, from 2017, Deep Water Yachts.
