Jack Henriques, from a boatbuilding family in Murtosa, Portugal, founded Henriques Yachts in Bayville, New Jersey in 1977; its first model was the Maine Coaster, a 35-foot Downeast boat. His daughters Maria and Natalia and son-in-law Manuel Costa joined the family yard, which builds Jersey-style sportfishermen including a 42 and a 50.
