Gary Davis
Gary Davis, grandson of the sportfishing pioneer Ray Davis, built custom Carolina sportfishermen as Sleepy Creek Boatworks on the site of Ray Davis Boatworks in Marshallberg. A competitor of Jarrett Bay, the yard merged with it in a friendly deal with Randy Ramsey in 1998, and Davis went on to run new construction at Jarrett Bay for twenty years.
