Gamefisherman

Mike Matlack spent years at Rybovich Boat Works in Palm Beach before starting his own yard in Stuart in 1985. His first model, the Gamefisherman 40, was a cold-molded day boat in the Rybovich and Merritt mold. The yard has since built more than 58 boats from 30 to 55 feet, cold-molded and fiberglass, as flybridges, expresses and walkarounds. Release Boatworks bought the company in May 2024; both yards draw on naval architect Erwin Gerards.
