Bobby Sullivan, a fifth-generation Outer Banks boatbuilder born in 1940, learned the trade from his grandfather Allen Hayman, built his first boat, Wahoo, in 1968, and took over his grandfather's Point Harbor shop in 1975. From about 1985 he built plank-on-frame sportfishermen, starting with Marlin Fever with help from Paul Mann and Taylor Harrison. His last two sportfishing boats, numbers 31 and 32, were finished in 2008.
